Preparation:
Fry
the meat in pot. Add Beef Broth or Water to the pot and cover until it
boils. Add the pepper and salt. Allow it to simmer for at least 1 hour.
Add the mushrooms, celery, parsley, parsnips, carrots, barley,
and the red onions. Cover and simmer again for about 2 hours. Add the
potatoes and cook for an additional hour. Add the garlic in the
last 20 minutes.
